We specialize in correcting your body’s misalignments. Our goal is to ensure that your spine and the rest of your body are working harmoniously. To do so, we will help you develop a plan that will require light stretching, some exercise, chiropractic care, and a healthy diet.
There are numerous reasons why people seek the help of a chiropractor. One of the most common reasons is chronic pain. This type of pain develops due to issues surrounding flexibility, mobility, and muscle balance. With the help of corrective exercises, our chiropractor, Dr. Hines, at Ahead of the Cure Chiropractic will work hard to make sure that you feel relieve from your pain or discomfort.
An Integral Part of Your Treatment Plan
Corrective exercises will be an integral part of your wellness plan. With each rehabilitative activity, our doctor ensures that you know how to perform it the correct way so that you can continue to recover even after you leave our office. Our chiropractor will communicate and demonstrate each exercise with you. Furthermore, as you progress with your treatment plan, we may add new and improved exercises to help you heal faster.
Your Corrective Exercise Plan
We understand that everyone will experience pain differently, so your plan will be based on your needs. During your appointments, Dr. Hines will see how far you progressed and adjust your treatment plan as needed to help you with your recovery process. Our doctor may start you with stretching exercises to improve your range of motion. Once you improve your mobility, she will move on to other exercises.
Your Specific Spinal Adjustments
Spinal manipulations play a crucial role in strengthening and realigning the spine so that you can handle your everyday routine. By realigning your spine, your posture and discomfort will improve naturally, and you will become more flexible and mobile. With our help, we can get your body balance appropriately.

The goal of the Diversified Technique is to reduce nerve interference. There are no special or unique procedures needed. Patients are assessed using these various mechanisms: history and basic examination (orthopedic and neurologic), palpation, x-ray, leg checks and reflex procedures as well as others.
The procedure involves analyzing the full spine and extremities. The majority of adjustments used in Diversified are manual adjustments, HVLA (high velocity, low amplitude), or long lever manipulations aimed at cavitating the joint and creating an audible release. This sound is known by patients as the “popping” or “cracking” sound associated with adjustments. Some chiropractors utilize specialized equipment such as drop tables or pelvic blocks.
Electric muscle stimulation is one of the chiropractic care services provided at Ahead of the Curve Chiropractic. This method of treatment provides numerous benefits and can be particularly helpful when recovering from an injury. The treatment modality works by having a machine deliver a safe, low-level electrical current via nodes attached to the affected area. Placement, level of charge, and depth of the nodes will all depend on the area of the body being treated and our chiropractor: Dr. Hines, will create a personalized treatment regimen for you and your specific needs.
Prevents Muscle Atrophy
Athletes and individuals with conditions such as multiple sclerosis want to avoid losing as much muscle as possible. Electric muscle stimulation can slow down the atrophy by stimulating the muscles and forcing them to contract. These forced contractions keep the muscles active, even when the patient can not contract them on their own. This treatment is often used on injured athletes as it allows them to recover without losing any of the muscle mass they gained before the injury.
Electrical muscle stimulation also promotes blood flow to an injured area. This will make the healing process faster and the contractions will keep the surrounding muscles strong. Once the patient is ready to resume their normal activities, most report that they were able to make an easy transition back into their activities. Athletes greatly enjoy this aspect of the treatment as a prolonged period of downtime typically leads to lower performance in their sport and in the gym. But, electrical muscle stimulation allows them to return to their original strength at a much faster rate.
Another factor in the quick recoveries promoted by electrical muscle stimulation is that it can be used post-workout to alleviate muscle swelling. This will leave your muscles feeling energized and avoid the soreness that usually comes after a workout.

Kinesiology Taping is a precise rehabilitative taping technique that is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints. This technique allows the body’s normal range of motion as well as providing extending soft tissue manipulation to prolong the benefits of manual therapy administered within the clinical setting. Kinesio tape is latex-free and hypoallergenic which makes it “skin friendly” for patients with sensitive or fragile skin; such as, patients with diabetes, fibromyalgia or rheumatoid arthritis.

Chiropractic care is not just for adults. In fact, more and more parents are seeing the many benefits of their children seeing a chiropractor every single day. Some of the benefits are improved sleep, improved behavior and attitude, and improved immune system function. Children encounter many physical stresses in their life that you may not realize. These stresses can cause your child’s spine to have issues in growth and development.

Ultrasound therapy is a chiropractic treatment used to help reduce muscle pain and increase range of motion. By using sound waves, we are able to stimulate deep inside the tissue. This minimizes stiffness, swelling, and pain while also promoting circulation, and pain-free movement.
One of the most important elements of chiropractic care is diagnostics. Chiropractic radiology is a tool utilized in care as a diagnostic practice to rule out pathology (such as possible tumor or fracture) and/or an additional aid to determine where to adjust the spine. Chiropractors rely on a variety of diagnostic techniques in order to fully understand what is occurring in the patient’s musculoskeletal system, and how a given treatment intervention could bring about positive results in each patient.
